Compliance Protocol

How Attune Agency protects clients, experts and the integrity of every engagement.

Last updated: April 2025

The Attune Compliance Protocol

Attune Agency operates at the intersection of sensitive commercial intelligence and professional expertise. Our compliance framework is designed to protect all parties — clients, experts and Attune Agency itself — from legal, reputational and ethical risk. Every engagement facilitated through our platform is subject to this protocol.

Compliance is not a checkbox at Attune Agency. It is a foundational principle that shapes how we vet experts, structure engagements and monitor conversations. We believe that the most valuable intelligence is intelligence that can be acted upon with confidence — and that requires a framework that all parties can trust.

Expert Vetting and Onboarding

Every expert admitted to the Attune Agency network undergoes a structured vetting process before they are eligible to participate in any client engagement. This process includes:

  • Verification of professional credentials, employment history and areas of claimed expertise
  • Review of any existing confidentiality, non-disclosure or non-compete obligations that may restrict the scope of permissible conversations
  • Completion of Attune Agency's mandatory compliance training programme, covering insider information, material non-public information (MNPI), and the boundaries of permissible expert consultation
  • Agreement to Attune Agency's Expert Terms of Engagement, which set out the rules governing all consultations

Experts are required to update Attune Agency of any material changes to their professional circumstances — including new employment, new confidentiality obligations or changes to their area of expertise — on an ongoing basis.

Client Protections

Attune Agency takes its obligations to clients seriously. Before any engagement is confirmed, we conduct a conflict-of-interest check to ensure that the proposed expert does not have a relationship with the client's counterparties, competitors or regulated entities that could compromise the integrity of the consultation.

All client information shared with Attune Agency in the course of identifying and matching experts is treated as strictly confidential. We do not share client identities, project details or research objectives with experts beyond what is necessary to facilitate a specific engagement.

Clients receive a pre-engagement briefing document for each consultation, confirming the expert's background, the scope of the agreed conversation and any known restrictions on topics that the expert may not discuss.

Prohibited Engagements

Attune Agency will not facilitate any engagement that involves or risks:

  • The disclosure of material non-public information (MNPI) about any publicly listed company or regulated entity
  • The breach of any confidentiality, non-disclosure or fiduciary obligation owed by the expert to a current or former employer
  • The provision of advice that constitutes regulated financial, legal or medical advice under applicable law
  • Any discussion that could constitute market manipulation, insider trading or any other form of securities fraud
  • Engagements involving experts who are current employees of a company that is a direct subject of the client's enquiry

Clients and experts are both required to flag any concern about the permissibility of a proposed topic before or during a consultation. Attune Agency reserves the right to terminate any engagement at any time if it determines that a compliance risk has arisen.

Monitoring and Enforcement

Attune Agency maintains records of all engagements facilitated through its platform, including the identities of participating parties, the agreed scope of each consultation and the date and duration of each call. These records are retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection law.

In the event of a suspected compliance breach, Attune Agency will conduct an internal review and, where appropriate, report the matter to the relevant regulatory authorities. Experts found to have breached the compliance protocol will be immediately suspended from the network pending investigation.

Questions about this protocol should be directed to compliance@attuneagency.com.
